How did you hear about Digital District?

Well, I co-founded it! :)

Why did you apply to join the team?

I joined SMCDC because I was new to the area. Making friends as an adult is hard but if you can find a group of like-minded people, it becomes a lot easier.

Who is your favorite person to follow on Twitter?

As a digital marketing professional I like to keep up with a lot of the big marketing companies. Vocus/Cision always has great content, as does Hubspot. In terms of people I really like , she’s especially good for content marketing and writing.

What team are you apart of and how long have you been involved with DD?

Executive Team – Since summer 2011 when we were still SMCDC

What would you like to accomplish/help make happen in your team role for Digital District?

As president last year, my role was to work on developing better strategies, workflows and expanding the organization. Now that I’m Vice President, I’m always on the look out for new opportunities for our members but also the organization as a whole. Basically I’m trying to make DD the coolest organization around.

DC’s a great place, and there is always something new to do in the city. There is always something new to explore. Tell us about your favorite DC gems.

I really love trying out new restaurants and going to restaurant openings. DC is exploding with new chefs but also starting to attract some big name chefs from other culinary cities like NY and LA. I haven’t been yet but I’m really excited to try out DBGB Kitchen. Daniel Boulud is a James Beard awardee from NYC and he is finally expanding to DC! Definitely worth checking out. I’m also excited to try out Mike Isabella’s popup restaurant Pepito which he is hosting at G. Pepito will open in Ballston next year, but he’s trying out a tasting menu now. If you can get a reservation, go! His food is always phenomenal.

Do you favorite a social channel? Why do you like that particular one over another?

Twitter. Twitter makes it so easy to connect with just about anyone, and you never have to worry about TL:DR on twitter.

What is one thing we don’t know about you?

I play three instruments and I have traveled abroad to perform.
