How did you hear about Digital District? I heard about Digital District after another group I followed retweeted them. After I went to the summer happy hour, that’s when I knew I wanted in.
Why did you apply to join the team? Why did I apply? You mean why wouldn’t I apply? The people are awesome and there’s no better organization that teaches the masses about the digital world. Plus, the happy hours are stellar.
Who is your favorite person to follow on social media (Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, Swarm, etc)? I’m obsessed with , the cutest dog on Instagram. Scratch that — the cutest dog in the world! is Twitter’s shining star. And of course, George Takei is still king of Facebook.
What would you like to accomplish/help make happen in your team role for Digital District? As Content Campaign Manager, I want our blog to have a steady stream of quality content. That means engaging posts that will make readers nod approvingly, laugh out loud and share the story on social media. Oh, and gifs. There will be gifs.
What team are you a part of ? Digital team, all the way! I joined in September ’14.
DC’s a great place, and there is always something new to do in the city. There is always something new to explore. Tell us about your favorite DC gems. Bartholdi Park is the city’s greatest hidden gem. It’s steps away from the Botanic Gardens and Capitol, but no tourist knows it’s there. Think of it as your own secret garden in the city.
Do you favorite a social channel? Why do you like that particular one over another? It’s tough, but I’d say Instagram. Sure, Twitter’s addicting with its hilarious one-liners and breaking news, but nothing, and I mean, NOTHING beats cute dogs and travel pics.
What is one thing we don’t know about you? I’ve been to all 50 states.
